As educator we must be critis especially in the education world, like in this magazine a Peter McLaren who is a Professor in the Division of Urban Schooling, the Graduate School of Education and Information Studies, University of California, Los Angeles (United States). He is known as one of the leading architects of critical pedagogy and for his scholarly writings on critical literacy, the sociology of education, cultural studies, critical ethnography, and Marxist theory (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peter_McLaren)  was with interview with Jose María Barroso Tristan as a staff from Global Education Magazine interview about “ Critical Pedagogy Against Capitalist Schooling: Towards a Socialist Alternative.”

Jose María Barroso Tristán: The first question I would like to ask you is: Considering the fact that you are a critical educator, which would you say are the main components that distinguish a critical education from a traditional one?

Peter McLaren : “ In the field of critical education there is an entanglement of visions, locations, practices and these understandably vary from individual to individual, neighborhood to neighborhood, district to district, region to region, country to country, etc.  Critical pedagogy is, after all, part of a geopolitics of knowledge.”
